ELECTRONIC OR DIGITAL ARCHIVING
Is important for organizations when they want to make electronic documentary archives of documents which were generated as a result of e-commerce and then, when they want to convert written archives to electronic or digital form with purpose of making digital archives.
This field of law is regulated by the Documentary and Archival Material Protection and Archives Act which has removed the last barrier for practical implementing of e-commerce and e-archives for use in companies which are now able to completely convert all written documents to the electronic ones and all this in compliance with law.
Organizations which want to establish an electronic archive, have to implement a complete system of planning, operating and monitoring of making e-archives. Any organization, which shall capture or store materials in the digital form, shall adopt internal rules in accordance with this Act, the related implementing regulations, uniform technological requirements and rules of profession (e.g. archival profession, information security, etc.). Internal rules may be submitted for confirmation to the National Archives, which verifies their compliance with the requirements of this Act, the related implementing regulations, uniform technological requirements and rules of profession.
